Travelling by Horse-Drawn Wagon #1 – One Week Around the Jindřichův Hradec …

Yesterday, we took the Alex from Munich to Pilsen and then on to  Jindřichův Hradec (in German: Neuhaus). To be sure, the Alex was quite considerably late, because it had to go a long detour on a one-lane track in the Czech Republic.

Consequently, we missed our train in Pilsen and had to take the connection two hours later. On the first part of the way, there was also something like a “SEV” (bus service to substitute the train service). However, it consisted of several busses and one truck for the bikes.

Regardless, it was a relaxing approach to our destination. During our break at Pilsen, we drank some of the excellent Gambrinus (a nice local “Pils beer”) in the beautiful railway restaurant.

Now I intend to really enjoy the next five days riding my bike and the horse-drawn wagon. It is quite possible that, this time, you will not hear from me as often as you are used to, because my communication is exclusively through mobile telephone and solar energy.

Just for this purpose, I bought a power and solar gorilla. So far, it is better than I had expected. I hope to fill all the mobile phones, pads and computers I and my travelling companions are carrying with electric energy.

Well, it might just happen – although not necessarily – that there will be fewer IF Blog articles during the next few days than you are used to. But let us wait and see.

I think of you, and I look forward both to what I am going to experience directly and when we meet again. …

And please not to forget: all my friends are supposed to register for our summer party (link).
