Here comes another small bit of a travel journal!
A beautiful journey is at its end. We are on board the FB Lefka Ori to Venice. Along with a small part of my family, I spent a good two weeks at a magical location. Everybody was happy (almost all the time), content, and very nice.
We slept right next to the ocean. The climate was soft and warm. The Greek sun spoilt us and big trees provided shadow. The wonderful sea air was very beneficial for our well-being, and the fresh fruit and vegetables were delicious and healthy.
I was able to spend a lot of time physically active. The warm ocean water beckoned me to go for a swim all the time, and the mountains called to for nice bike tours.
I spent all the time in the great outdoors and walked barefoot (almost) all the time. When riding my bike, my perspiration ran in rivulets and often I lazed in the sun.
I slept only in my tent, and hardly ever drove anywhere by car. At night, the sky was full of stars, during the last few days accompanied by a big full moon.
With the exception of the WLAN access at the campground reception, we were fairly cut off from civilization.
All this did a ton of good to me and gave me piece and courage. We stayed at a place we knew from former times. We had been there even when the children were smaller. I met old acquaintances
I was also reminded of wonderful times enjoyed here with friends.
Now let us look towards the future.
Some questions arise:
How will life go on? Will luck continue to be at my side? Will I ever again see this place? Will I ever become a sensible person?
Life also always means having to say farewell. It happens every day and is quite normal. Nevertheless, it makes me sentimental.
It was a beautiful time. The pictures represent the happy moments of the last three weeks. So hush!
