A Short Theatre Show
Time:
Friday (July, 23rd, 2010), rather early in the morning.
Place:
Basement garage at InterFace AG.
Actors:
Olivier (nice colleague from France at InterFace), Roland (yours truly).
Plot:
German-French dialogue between car-driver and biker.
Scenery:
In front of the open bike parking space in the basement garage. Roland pushes his bike into the bike parking space next to the exit. Olivier has just parked his car (an Audi). Outside, it is rainy (not too much, but still), in here, it is dark but dry.
Dialogue:
Olivier (commiseratively):
I bet it was not enjoyable coming here by bike today!
Roland (meaning it):
On the contrary: it was wonderful. I liked the rather low temperature and the few drops of rain are a welcome change. My raincoat protected me quite well.
Note:
My raincoat is orange, like the InterFace logo.
Olivier (with feeling):
Well, then I bet the last few days, when it was more than 30 degrees Celsius, were no fun at all?
Roland (meaning it):
Those days were especially nice. I always rode in the semi-nude. For me, riding my bike with nothing covering my torso is not just wonderfully reminiscent of my childhood, but also a great feeling of “relishing the experience of my own body”. It is an unbelievably nice feeling!
(Note by the author: in modern German, you would call it a: “geiles Gefühl”).
Olivier (is impressed and has nothing more to say):
They both leave the basement garage through the corridor and go to their respective offices. And on the way, they are worried about all those female traffic participants who might get distracted from what happens on the road by the naked male torso 🙂 .
Of course, the theatre show is a true story.
