Self Analysis
Once a year, I try to steer my star due north. The turn of the year seems a good time for it. I do a short retrospective analysis , thinking about myself and the future and writing down the results.
Wo am I?
About:
Roland Maria Dürre, place of residence now in Neubiberg near Munich.
Married to Barbara Dürre, seven children and rather old.
I am very content about what happened to me so far. The family helped immensely towards my pursuit of happiness.
For many years, I worked as a third-generation IT pioneer. Now I am travelling as a “Jack of all Trades”.
I founded the InterFace AG together with Wolf Geldmacher, Dr. Peter Schnupp and Claus M. Müller. In retrospective, this, too, was a very good decision.
So what is the essence of me?
I have a body which I am very aware of and which is very important to me. This is why I look for “active mobility”.
I often hike and ride my bike. First and foremost, I am a human being who goes his way as a day labourer, father of a family and traveller between worlds.
As I see it, I am a student of Rupert Lay and many other persons.
Perhaps I am also a little bit what you call entrepreneur.
I enjoy life, appreciate time to think and am enthusiastic about asking questions about all kinds of things. I like creativity and fantasy.
I like playing soccer and chess, where I learned a lot.
Enlightenment and freedom are very important for me.
For me, the definition of freedom is to be willing and capable of living your own life in responsibility as far as possible.
Dogmata and moralizing are anathema to me.
For all my fellow humans, I would like to be the person who gives courage. Personally, I want many friends and lots of joy and I wish to reduce both my own and other persons’ fear and enmity.
I believe in a future we can create through creativity, fantasy and passion.
I am constantly looking for comrades in arms.
And I myself want one thing above all else – live!
The maxim behind all my behaviour:
”Behave and decide in such a way that the rules you apply to your activities will mostly help you to promote your own personal life and that of others, rather than minimizing it“.
This is it for today. When the year 2014 has come to an end, I will compare it with reality.
