Christmas, the festival of peace.
There is a french song that has been in my mind for some time now. It used to be quite famous in ist English version. It was a sad song. For me, it has something to do with war and peace. And particularly in times of war, for instance during the Kuwaiti wars, it was often played on the radio.
During the last few days, in particular, I again heard it on the radio more often. I hope this is not a bad omen.
I am talking Seasons in the sun by Terry Jacks. The original version is Le moribond and was sung by Jacques Brel whom I admired very much.
